As some of you may, or may not, know I also landed a placement at Crystal Palace Academy, whereby they are letting me coach an academy teach (U11/12s) for a few days in the holiday period and observe some of the Pro coaches training the U15/16s. I’ll post some info regarding applying to clubs to gain experince like this at a later date. If any of you want to msg me personally, mail me at banksii93@googlemail.com

Coaching This Sunday.

Just been offered the role of Coach/Manager of a team near where I live. Not sure about their age etc yet, but I will find out on Sunday when I go to train them…I expect they are U12s or around that age. Should provide good experience for me and improve my communication and coaching skills in general.

Reviewing The Year 2009

Looking back at the year I must say I’m pleased with what has come on.
Firstly, I got my GCSE results back. Before getting the results back my Dad came in my room to talk to me about what I would get if I achieved certain grades. We agreed that for every grade I meet he would give me £30. We predicted that I would get 8C’s, 2B’s, and 1A. Suprise suprise! I got 6A’s, 3B’s, and 2C’s. It was a very proud moment, and my dad gave me £330.

In terms of football it was a good year too. My cousin was promoted to the U15s Crystal Palace team (things are looking good for him already! He is just 13 and Arsenal want him. They offered to pay the fees to a private school, which would be £10,000 a year, for him to attent. Unfortunatley, his contract with Palace means he has to stay there till he is 16.) Personally, I have had a good year as well. I attained a Level 1 Coaching Badge and also have been offered some experience coaching at Palace. Also, I made £132 in two weeks from doing some easy work, which’ll contribute to many things regarding coaching.

In terms of the blog – The blog wasn’t doing so well up until Christmas, only having a few views here and there. But an enthusiastic fella has seen my blog and the views have gone up!
He’s also an aspiring footballer and hopes to make it Pro. I wish him the best of luck.

I’ve been ill over Xmas which sucks!
But New Year, and next year should be good. My first word of 2010 will be ‘Football’.

Should be a good 2010.

The Start Of Something Special

Weeks have gone by without blogging, but, I’ve come back on to say that I passed my 1st4sport Level 1 Coaching Course.
However, I expected myself to. I won’t get all hyped about it, because I know it’s basically a 100% pass rate. But, what I will get excited and hyped up about is that I have got myself into a position where Crystal Palace are going to let me come down to their academy at a certain date, and let me coach and observe their training sessions.

I feel that this is a great step in the right direction.

Believe in a dream, reach the dream, and never stop dreaming the dream.

Hello

I know that know one will read this, or even stumble across it, so really i don’t even know why i’m doing this. Maybe it’s just to keep me focused, maybe it’s just because i get bored to easily.

The other day i was on 2+2 forums (poker forums) it was really interesting to see this guy called Chiren claiming to win the wcoop (biggest online poker tournament in the world). This guy is famous on youtube for his WorldOfWarcraft videos. Anyway, he posted on the 2+2 forums how we has going to win it. All the members told him to ‘gtfo’ and knocked him down. He replied with videos on youtube and things saying like ‘i’m a pro at poker, u r all noobs, im gonna win, i have the skillz’.

Anyway he played the Wcoop and lost. Everyone on the forums was quick to comment things like “hahaha u suck” and then he comes out with this video explaining that he was meerly playing a character to raise awarness about the problem that faces poker, in which it may be banned and how people should sign this petition. I mean, he tricked everyone. It’s kinda complicated, but pretty cool.

Havn’t Updated In A While

Hello everyone,

Gonna keep this short and sweet.

I booked my 1st for sport lvl 1 coaching course and will be doing it on November the 16th. I’m both excited and relieved i’m on my way to becoming a coach.

Also, my GCSE lessons are helping my understanding of many aspects of coaching. Such as types of feedback etc.

I think that music really does make the world go round. It can do so much…inspire, motivate, devistate, all of these things. It can toy with our emotions and pick us up or knock us down. I mean, this doesn’t really have anything to do with football but i just wanted to say it, so i did.

Jack Johnson & Tom Baxter are too good artists that i like.

Both very soothing music. That seems like something an old fogey would say eh, and i’m only 16!

Life Is Too Short…

Lots of things have happened this week, lots of eventful things, lots of meaningful things, some harrowing, some eye-opening and from what i’ve witnessed i want to send a message out to anyone who reads this:

Life is too short for you not to do the things you want to do. So, if you want to do something, if you have a dream, then go for it, because life really is too short to hang around for. Do everything you want to do, and regret nothing.
